Directions
to Mountain State Campground. Road Trip is approximately
6-7 hours from Va Beach. Depending
on time of departure.
Take 64-West past RICHMOND.
Continue
staying on 64-West through the interchanges at STAUNTON, LEXINGTON
and BECKLEY, WEST VIRGINIA.
Take
US 19-North (exit 48) for 20 miles to Ames Heights Road (which
is the second left after crossing the New River Gorge Bridge)
Mountain
State Campground is your first right turn (looks more like
a driveway than a road). Registration Office is on your
left once you enter the campground. Bathrooms/Showers on your
right.
Turn left onto the road directly behind Registration Office
all the way through to the clearing.
